About the Role
We're looking for a creative, detail-oriented Marketing Specialist to join our team and take ownership of our social media presence. This is an entry-level role, with the opportunity to grow and take on more ownership on the Marketing team. You'll be the person shaping how we show up online and helping us build a community of talented creators who want to contribute to our platform. If you are passionate about the arts, have a good eye for content, and want to grow your marketing career in a fascinating space, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Plan, create, and schedule content across our social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and others)
- Collaborate with the broader marketing team on campaigns, launches, and initiatives
- Develop a consistent posting cadence and maintain a content calendar
- Write engaging copy that speaks to our creative audience and reflects our brand voice
- Monitor comments, DMs, and mentions and engage with our community in a timely, authentic way
- Track performance metrics and share regular updates on what's working and what isn't
- Identify trends and opportunities to create timely, relevant content that resonates with creatives
- Pull and summarize performance reports across social and other marketing channels, and help translate data into actionable takeaways
- Assist with email marketing efforts, including drafting copy, organizing lists, and tracking campaign performance
- Support the team with research, competitive analysis, and general marketing projects as they come up
What We're Looking For
- 0–2 years of professional experience in social media, content creation, or marketing (internships count)
- Genuine enthusiasm for creativity, social media, and a strong sense of what makes content perform
- Strong writing skills; you know how to convey engaging messages concisely
- An eye for design and visual storytelling (bonus if you're comfortable in Canva, Adobe, or similar tools)
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple projects while staying creative
- Comfortable working in an environment where things move and change quickly
- Interest in creative industries like photography, design, illustration, video, or similar fields, is a big plus
Nice to Have
- Experience using social media scheduling tools (Later, Buffer, Sprout Social, etc.)
- Familiarity with basic analytics tools and reading platform insights
- You've built or managed your own social presence or community in any capacity
What You Can Expect
- A real role with real ownership from day one, not a support position
- Close collaboration with a senior marketing team that wants to help you develop
- Room to grow as the team and company scale
- A creative, collaborative environment where good ideas are welcome
This role is intentionally focused on social media to start, but we see it growing into something broader. As you get comfortable and demonstrate impact, there’s a clear path to taking on more: paid social, email, campaign strategy, partnerships, and beyond.
