Dina Bandman Interiors is a boutique full-service residential interior design firm located in North Beach. Although a small firm, we have a heavy project load with each typically consisting of a remodel component in addition to furnishings. The firm is run fast paced which provides opportunity for responsibility from the get go. Individuals who apply should have a positive, go getter attitude, be passionate about design, be detail oriented, flexible and able to keep up with change, natural problem solver/solution seeker.
Responsibilities
This role is best suited for a recent graduate or candidate with internship experience. The Design Assistant will be paired with a more senior team member and serve as a key support partner across projects. While primarily administrative in nature, candidates with CAD proficiency will have opportunities to contribute to the design process.
Responsibilities include maintaining clear and organized records of communication between clients, vendors, and DBI; coordinating errands such as showroom pickups and vendor drop-offs; assisting in the upkeep and organization of the materials library (including fabric bins, finish samples, and inventory); and supporting the preparation and editing of presentations and slideshows.
Additional responsibilities include coordinating with vendors, manufacturers, and contractors; running showroom errands and supporting project logistics (meeting preparation, sample packing and shipping, project filing, slide preparation, etc).
This is an administrative-forward role that offers meaningful exposure to how a design firm operates. Candidates who demonstrate initiative, accountability, and strong organizational skills will be given the opportunity to grow into a Junior Designer role.
Qualifications

Additional Notes -
The preferred candidate should be able to work from the office full-time. Flexibility is valued at DBI, and depending on the needs of the office schedules/meetings, some remote work is allowed.
