The Marketing Coordinator must have exceptional analytical, organizational and technical skills, show consistent attention to detail, have a strong knowledge of social media platforms and best practices, assist with the execution of events and special programming, and maintain brand identity through various types of marketing channels. This role will report to the Marketing Manager and work closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing. A passion for creativity, organization, thinking outside of the box, strong writing skills, a collaborative spirit and attention to detail, will drive success in this position.
Essential job functions include ensuring the website is up to date a daily basis, owning social media management including content, drafting, community management and maintenance, supporting the Marketing Manager on all collateral projects, own the updating of external listings including event promotion.
Essential Job Functions
- Own the management of five social media accounts across Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. Including drafting posts and daily community management and profile maintenance.
- Respond to social media comments and direct messages in conjunction with the marketing manager, and to reviews via Revinate (as needed).
- Maintain website CMS, auditing daily for changes and accuracy, keeping up to date with the latest information and events. Maintain brand standards as it relates to photography selection and copy, and Forbes requirements.
- Maintain and update sales materials and presentations in conjunction with tradeshow calendar, providing sales team with appropriate resources
- Maintain inventory of print collateral and ensure outdated materials are discarded, including guestroom materials, menus, signage, etc.
- Dropbox File Maintenance - oversee photo management and file storage in conjunction with home office to ensure new imagery is added in an organized manner (including usage rights) and outdated imagery is removed from property library and use.
- Maintain and update property profiles and offers on third party partner sites and portals including Google, Preferred Hotels, Virtuoso, CVent, Tripadvisor, Forbes, Group Representation Firms, etc.
- Prepare presentation material for sales presentations as needed by sales and other revenue generating areas.
- Identify and keep updated local and regional listing sites and post resort events for all revenue areas including Food and Beverage, Spa, Golf, Rooms. (ie. Destination DC, etc.)
- Oversee and coordinate on-property printing needs and processes with approved print vendors, and complete purchase orders.
- Assist with email and campaigns as needed including proofing and image edits.
- Assist amenity requests for media and influencers, if needed.
- Assist Marketing Manager with monthly marketing meeting minutes.
- Assist with additional marketing tasks as assigned by the Marketing Manager.
Requirements

Education & Requirements
- At least one-year of experience in Marketing Communications.
- A four-year college degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or similar major is preferred.
- Must possess superior social media savvy and the proven ability to drive creative and memorable social media campaigns.
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills required.
- Ability to work nights and weekends when needed.
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment, multitask and prioritize assignments while s trategizing with each department of the resort to develop and promote special events that generate revenue.
Language Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Read and interpret documents in English such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals, newspapers, periodicals, journals, and manuals.
- Write routine reports, correspondence, business letters, summaries, and reports using prescribed format, and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction, and style.
- Writing samples required.

SKILLS: Must have sufficient computer skills that will allow them to be able to use, in a proficient manner, all Salamander Collection issued software programs implemented, including but not limited to the following:
- Microsoft Word
- PowerPoint
- Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge of e-mail and CRM platforms
- Knowledge of CMS (Content Management Systems)
- Knowledge of basic photo editing, resizing images
- Graphic design background with InDesign / Adobe Creative Suite, Canva.
- Basic video editing skills preferred in Adobe Premier Pro and/or Final Cut Pro
NOTE: Company-issued software programs implemented may be changed from time to time; the Marketing Coordinator is required to learn the new programs and upgrades as soon as practicable.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature generally is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems.
- Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 5 hours per day. Walking and standing are also required, depending on the project. Length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
- Some local travel may be required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to work effectively in a stressful environment, communicate with others, effectively deal with customers and accept constructive criticism from supervisors.
- Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.
