Description:
The Vehicles Brand Creative team, covering Hot Wheels, Matchbox, Thomas& Friends, and Disney Pixar Cars, seeks a creative Brand Designer (art-director). This is a hybrid hands-on design and art-direction role.
Must have stellar branding and design chops, digital experience, and exceptional Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign abilities. Highly conceptual, overflowing with ideas, and capable of designing and art-directing creative agencies.
You will contribute to concept development, execution of final assets, and collaborate closely with creative director, senior creatives, cross-functional teams, external creative agencies and vendors to bring brand storytelling and identity to life across multiple touchpoints.
THE ROLE
Creative Development & Execution
Translate brand strategy and guidelines into strong concepts and creative solutions.
Execute creative assets across print, digital, social, retail, and experiential.
Develop production-ready layouts with high attention to typography, composition, and detail.
Prepare presentations including mood boards, mockups, and creative decks.
Provide art direction and feedback to external agencies and vendors under senior creative guidance.
Uphold a high-level of creative craft.
Collaboration & Workflow
Partner with Creative Director, Art Director, Copywriter, and Marketing teams to refine and execute ideas.
Incorporate stakeholder feedback efficiently and professionally.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Maintain organized files and adhere to production workflows to ensure smooth handoffs and on-time delivery.
QUALIFICATIONS
4-6 years of experience in brand or graphic design (agency or in-house preferred).
Strong portfolio demonstrating multi-channel brand execution.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Proficiency in Microsoft applications- Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other presentation building tools.
Experience in print and digital design; social or experiential experience a plus.
Familiarity with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Adobe Firefly) to support creative development.
Strong understanding of design fundamentals, typography, and layout.
Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset.
