ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented loan Underwriting Analyst to join our growing team at SCP. In this role, you will support our underwriting and operations teams in evaluating, structuring, and closing sustainable commercial real estate bridge transactions. Working alongside experienced CRE veterans who have deployed over $60B across institutional platforms, you will gain direct exposure to deals from quote to close.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
• Review and analyze current and historical income and expenses of a property, along with market data, to determine potential loan terms and conditions
• Prepare loan submission packages for lender review and communicate with lenders throughout the process
• Facilitate information flow during due diligence and underwriting; answer lender questions generated by submissions and provide additional research and analysis on request, including third-party reports
• Assist in maintaining vendor relationships, soliciting and organizing report bids, and arranging due diligence collection and site inspections
• Leverage AI for operational efficiency
• Jump in on other business critical tasks, we are scaling and you will gain 360 access to the business
TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS IN THIS ROLE YOU SHOULD HAVE:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Finance, Real Estate, Accounting, or a related field
• 2–5 years of prior experience in CRE lending, investing or asset management a plus
• Effective written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly to clients and lenders
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and consistency across all work product
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, manage deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
• Enthusiasm and a genuine willingness to learn the commercial real estate and sustainable finance industries
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Co-Star, Argus or similar CRE platforms a plus
• A willingness to jump in try your hand at something new
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS ROLE:
• This is a contract, 1099 position.
• Workload will change week to week based on deal flow
• We strive to prioritize a work life balance, weekend and weeknight work will be expected minimally
• Remote first with some in person meetings expected
• NYC Metro area preferred
• Compensation commensurate with experience
