Position Overview
We are seeking a Paraplanner to support our lead advisors in delivering high-quality, comprehensive financial planning services. This role is focused on financial planning preparation, analysis, and implementation. The Paraplanner does not serve as a lead advisor or independently manage client relationships but plays a critical role in the planning process and overall client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- The primary function of this role is to assist with financial planning processes and provide client relationship support to our client base.
- Gather, organize, and input client data accurately and efficiently.
- Prepare for and follow up on client meetings, including cash flow projections, tax projections, and planning analyses.
- Execute trades for client accounts in accordance with firm procedures.
- Prepare and maintain client reporting and planning deliverables.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records across firm systems, including: Redtail, WealthVision, and Holistiplan (ensuring all client data is current, accurate, and complete).
- Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Uphold the fiduciary standard expected of all firm personnel.
- Comply with the firm’s Code of Ethics and Compliance Program and contribute to a strong culture of compliance.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial planning.
- Series 7 and Series 66 required.
- CFP® certification strongly preferred, or one of the following:
- Enrolled Agent (EA)
- Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional (FPQP®)
- Tax Planning Certified Professional (TPCP™)
Desired Skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experience with CRM and portfolio management systems (Redtail or similar preferred).
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and perform accurately in a fast-paced environment.
