Primary Job Role
Develop and maintain 3D CAD models, parametric assemblies, detailed drawings, BOMs, and documentation to support standardized and custom product designs.
Perform and evaluate engineering analyses (FEA, CFD, calculations), assess design feasibility, and identify risks or failure modes.
Prepare engineering specifications, design reports, test documentation, and maintain accurate revision control in accordance with company and quality requirements.
Support new product development and continuous improvement initiatives from concept through production release, focusing on reliability, manufacturability, and cost optimization.
Develop and maintain engineering standards, templates, tools, and drafting guidelines; ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements.
Provide technical support to sales, project management, manufacturing, procurement, and field service teams throughout the project lifecycle, including vendor and submittal reviews.
Participate in design reviews, prototype evaluations, testing, audits, inspections, and certification activities; interface with quality teams and regulatory bodies as required.
Collaborate with internal teams to meet project deliverables, improve engineering workflows, stay current with industry trends.

Education and Experience
Formal Education Bachelor’s Degree in a related area of study.
Experience 1-2 years.
Not Required But Highly Desired Criteria
Certified SolidWorks Professional (CSWP).
Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD Mechanical, Inventor) or equivalent design tools.
Proficiency with SolidWorks PDM.
Sheet metal design experience.
Steel fabrication knowledge / experience.
Knowledge of welding practices, codes, and/or experience.
Updating of Knowledge
Job requirements occasionally change requiring re-training to stay current every 3-5 years.
