THE OPPORTUNITY
A premier public-listed global investment bank is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and talented Analyst/Associate for their growing middle market and small-cap investment banking and capital markets practice. The ECM Analyst/Associate will play a key role in the execution of equity and equity‑linked transactions, supporting seasoned senior bankers across the full lifecycle of investment banking and capital markets activities. You will be reporting to the Head of Capital Markets.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the origination and execution of equity transactions (including IPOs, Follow-Ons, CMPO, PIPE, Block Trades, Convertible Bonds, and other Equity-Linked offerings, etc.), M&A (including fairness opinion) and other advisory work
- Build and maintain market intelligence tools, pitching materials, offering memoranda, investor presentation, ECM transaction databases, valuation benchmarks and CRM tracker
- Conduct detailed market analysis, including valuation, comparable offerings, investor sentiment tracking, and sector trends
- Monitor equity market conditions daily and synthesize trading dynamics, sector flows and investor sentiment into actionable client advice
- Be part of a team coordinating across Origination, Syndicate, Sales and Trading to market, price and allocate transactions
- Participate in due diligence sessions, drafting sessions, and regulatory filing processes
- Interface with legal, compliance and external counsels on transaction execution
- Prepare thought pieces on ECM market trends for internal and client-facing use
- Collaborating with internal corporate access team on Non-Deal-Roadshows for clients
QUALIFICATIONS
- Undergraduate Degree required, MBA or other Graduate Degree is a plus but not required; minimum 2 to 5 years of total experiences including but not limited to 1 to 2 years at the analyst level in an investment bank or ECM team
- Strong understanding of the equity capital markets, valuation, financial modeling, sharp quantitative and excellent analytical skills, comfort in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to distill complex market dynamics into a clear narrative
- Strong ability to manage multiple workstreams with attention to detail and the ability to manage competing deadlines with great work ethics
- Collaborative mindset, professionalism, and the ability to thrive under tight timelines
- Strong critical thinking skill with the ability to take constructive criticism with great attitude
- Understanding of basic AI tools and applications
LICENSING & COMPLIANCE
SIE, FINRA Series 63 (or 66), and Series 79 required within 90 days of hire if not transferable. Subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements.
