About The Role
Solid Design & Planning is seeking a Drafter / Architectural Designer to join our Los Angeles office. This role focuses on producing
complete, coordinated construction document sets efficiently across multiple residential and small-scale commercial projects.
We operate in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines. We are looking for someone who is
detail-oriented, reliable, and able to take ownership of their work without constant oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce full construction document sets (plans, elevations, details)
- Coordinate architectural drawings with structural and other disciplines
- Review and QC drawings before submission to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Implement redlines efficiently and correctly
- Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
- Experience producing complete construction document sets
- Solid understanding of construction detailing and drawing standards
- Familiarity with local building codes (Los Angeles preferred)
- High attention to detail and ability to self-check work
- Ability to work efficiently under deadlines without constant supervision
Preferred
- Experience with ADUs, residential remodels, or permitting sets
- Revit, SketchUp, or Rhino experience
