Neptune Ops is the AI-native influence operating system. We build and deploy the most advanced AI-native tools to drive outcomes in public affairs, B2B, B2G, and other precision messaging campaigns. We help our clients avoid the pitfalls of technology disruptions, and capitalize on the opportunities created by these changes.
As we scale, the Sales Account Executive supports sales of our rapidly growing suite of software products. The primary focus will be owning a book of business by sourcing leads, running the full sales cycle, and closing deals independently. This is a role for an emerging sales professional who is ready to fly solo on smaller deals while learning to close larger, more complex opportunities alongside senior team members. You'll develop your craft in a fast-paced, AI-native environment while working closely with senior leadership.
What you’ll do:
The Sales Account Executive will conduct outbound and in-person sales communications to public affairs firms, trade associations, lobbying firms, and B2B/B2G clients. Outbound efforts will span a combination of digital channels, all supported by a robust content marketing and advertising program. Occasional travel is required. Success requires comfort with outbound prospecting and high-volume outreach. Neptune provides thorough training across our technology platforms and sales process.
What we’re looking for:
- 2+ years of experience in a combination of the following: advanced technology sales, public affairs, political campaigns, advocacy, or government
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage and close deals, with the judgment to escalate when needed
- Experience with CRM and outbound sales tools such as HubSpot and LinkedIn
- Motivated by the opportunity to shape how organizations influence public policy in an AI-native world
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort presenting technology demos
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, startup environment
- Relentless in nurturing leads—unfazed by silence, rejection, or the long game
- Passion for innovating in the sales process, including leveraging AI tools to improve results
- Interest in learning the latest AI tools and how they can be deployed to drive public policy outcomes
- Must be based in the Washington, DC metro or San Francisco Bay Area
How you’ll work:
- You’re competitive, resourceful, and proactive, comfortable operating with autonomy while learning quickly from feedback.
- You move fast, test new approaches, and use data and AI tools to continuously improve results.
