We’re looking for an early-career Accounting / Finance Analyst who wants to build strong fundamentals while gaining exposure to FP&A, systems, and business operations.

Summary Description: This position performs accounting functions involving the general ledgers and financial statements.Ensures accurate recording of financial transactions for preparation of period-end consolidated and segment reports. Establishes and monitors controls for the safeguarding of company assets.

Position Purpose: The purpose of this position is to provide for the Finance teams’ accurate reporting of Company financials.

Skills

Analyzes performance of Accounting efforts, identifies variances, and provides recommendations. Prepares analyses for Accounting forecasting.
Interprets the results of Accounting Department with financial statement classification for accuracy and risks mitigation. prepares financial reports and data, and coordinates systems, procedures, and special reports.
Assists with monthly closing and account analysis and month-end write ups. Researches and documents unit account variance analysis for internal reporting.
Collaborates toward the formulation of policies. Reviews and updates policy and procedures.
Acts as an accountant for joint venture companies. Reviews financials, prepares journal entries, and prepares distributions.
Maintains responsibility for Accounting Balance Sheet and P & L analysis and variance explanations. Reviews new business unit and account set up requests.
Ensures the suitability and effectiveness of internal controls.
Review related sales, commissions, and spiff calculations within Bound Book.
Provides analysis, reports, and support to CFO and relevant personnel relating to financial matters and operations.
Collaborates with auditors and tax consultants within Accounting Segment and other cross-functional departments.
Oversees journal entries and reviews the monthly general ledger for accuracy and makes corrections.
Provides analysis and support for quarterly consolidated financials and bank compliance.
Oversees journal entries and reviews the monthly general ledger for accuracy and makes corrections.
Assumes additional responsibilities as assigned.

Education & experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent work experience required

Experience:

· 4+ years’ experience preferably in related industry

Knowledge, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

· Proficiency in MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Visio (as applicable)

· Proficiency in QuickBooks (as applicable)

· Proficiency in Bound Book (as applicable)

· Ability to communicate well with the general public and experience in establishing and maintaining an effective working relationship with management, vendors, and co-workers

· Ensures optimum performance of the function, increase efficiencies, cut costs, take advantage of opportunities and maintain state-of-the-art practices.

· Ability to work in a team environment

· Advanced professional or theoretical knowledge and fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field of specialization in the execution of assigned duties and responsibilities

· Basic understanding of budgetary concepts and procedures

· Advanced understanding of departmental structure and policies with basic understanding of the cross-functional structure and policies of Silencer Shop

· Advanced ability to delegate tasks and get work done through others

· Ability to prepare and present information to guests, senior associates, vendors, and management with sufficient notice and preparation

Professional Certification:

· Certified Public Accountant preferred

Physical:

· May be required to lift up to 25 pounds

· Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time

· Must be able to use computers, telephones, and office equipment

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
