As the
Financial Analyst you would be responsible for providing data-driven insights that support decision making across the organization. This role will own key reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes, analyze trends in revenue and expenses, and help translate financial results into clear, actionable recommendations for leadership.
What You Would Do
- Develop, maintain, and improve monthly financial reporting packages, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, and variance analyses versus budget and prior periods.
- Support the annual budget and rolling forecast processes, including data collection, model updates, and consolidation across departments.
- Analyze revenue, margins, and operating expenses to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; summarize findings in concise presentations for management.
- Build and maintain financial models (e.g., scenario analysis, profitability by customer/product, headcount planning, ROI analysis).
- Partner with business leaders to track KPIs and create dashboards that provide visibility into performance against goals.
- Assist with month-end close analytics, including accrual reviews, flux analysis, and preparation of management commentary.
- Perform ad hoc (pricing, new initiatives, capital investments, vendor changes, etc.) to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Help improve financial processes, controls, and data quality, including standardizing reporting and documentation.
- Collaborate with Accounting, Sales, and Operations to ensure alignment between operational metrics and financial results.
- Prepare clear, executive-ready presentations and summaries for leadership and board-level discussions, as needed.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field required.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, public accounting, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting fundamentals, and key business performance metrics.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, lookups, nested formulas; modeling experience preferred).
- Experience with ERP and reporting tools (e.g., NetSuite, Power BI, Tableau, or similar) is strongly preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large data sets and reconcile details to the big picture.
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to distill complex analysis into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders.
- High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and cross-functionally, building effective relationships across teams.
