Business Analyst
Hybrid | Phoenix Area | East Valley
We are partnering with a growing organization to identify a Business Analyst who will serve as a strategic finance partner to leadership and operations. This role reports directly to the VP of FP&A and is ideal for someone who goes beyond reporting to drive insight, accountability, and better decision-making across the business.
This is a high-impact, FP&A-oriented role for an analyst who naturally asks why, anticipates issues before they arise, and translates data into actionable recommendations. You’ll act as an internal consultant—helping leaders evaluate performance, risks, and opportunities while improving profitability, efficiency, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-depth analysis of revenue, expenses, profitability, and KPIs to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Develop and manage seasonal budgets and forecasting models
- Create decision-support tools including mock budgets, cost-benefit analyses, and opportunity-cost evaluations
- Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders
- Continuously evaluate business models and processes; recommend operational improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs
- Partner regularly with department leaders to review performance and metrics
- Build and maintain automated reporting and executive dashboards
- Lead projects end-to-end, ensuring timelines and budgets are met
- Support reporting, analytics, and system-based data needs across the organization
- Support billing and scheduling-related analysis as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field required (MBA or Master’s preferred)
- Experience in healthcare setting preferable
- 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, business analysis, or FP&A
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas, dashboards; VBA a plus but not required)
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities
- Experience building dashboards and executive-level reporting
- Power BI experience preferred
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
