Job Responsibilities:
· Perform structural analysis of aluminum framing, anchors, and glass components under wind, seismic, and thermal loads
· Prepare calculations, reports, and engineering documentation for submittals
· Ensure compliance with applicable building codes, standards, and project specifications
· Review shop drawings for structural integrity of materials, designs, and perform structural calculations and use modeling methods analyze glazing systems and other structural components
· Use AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam software to develop design concepts and detailed drawings for curtainwall and façade systems
· Coordinate with architects, consultants, and contractors to ensure design intent is achieved
· Assist with value engineering and system optimization
· Manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Job Skills & Qualifications:
Required:
· Professional Engineer license
· Degree in civil or structural engineering, plus minimum of five years of relevant work experience
· Some knowledge of AutoCAD
· Decisive with excellent critical thinking skills
· Good written and verbal communication abilities, including preparing and giving presentations
Preferred:
· Bilingual (English and Spanish)
· Experience in glass, glazing and miscellaneous metals
Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
