We are looking for an Sr. Business Analyst to support finance-focused initiatives for a Long-term Contract position based in Burlington, Massachusetts. In this role, you will partner with finance and technology teams to shape solutions that improve financial operations through Oracle Cloud Fusion. This opportunity is ideal for someone who can turn business needs into practical system enhancements, guide testing and rollout efforts, and help users get the most value from finance applications.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with Finance, Accounting, and IT stakeholders to collect, clarify, and document business needs across Oracle Cloud Fusion Financials, including general ledger, payables, receivables, fixed assets, cash management, and tax.
- Evaluate current finance workflows, identify process gaps, and recommend improvements that can be enabled through Oracle Cloud capabilities.
- Convert operational and reporting needs into functional specifications, solution designs, and system configuration recommendations.
- Support or lead key project activities such as configuration validation, test planning, user acceptance testing, deployment readiness, and post-launch stabilization.
- Serve as a functional advisor on Oracle Fusion Finance processes, providing guidance on best practices and application usage.
- Work closely with integration and data teams to help ensure reliable data flow between Oracle and connected business systems.
- Create user guides, process documentation, and training materials, then assist with knowledge transfer for end users and business teams.
- Investigate system issues, coordinate defect resolution, and provide support during critical accounting periods such as month-end and quarter-end close.
- Monitor Oracle Cloud updates and new releases, assess business impact, and recommend changes or enhancements where appropriate.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst supporting Oracle Cloud Fusion Finance initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Oracle Fusion Financial modules such as GL, AP, AR, FA, Cash Management, and Tax.
- Hands-on ability to gather requirements, perform gap analysis, and produce clear functional documentation.
- Experience supporting testing activities, including test case development, defect tracking, and user acceptance testing.
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum delivery methods and cross-functional project collaboration.
- Working knowledge of reporting and analysis tools such as OTBI and Oracle Smart View.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both business stakeholders and technical teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience supporting complex finance processes.
