Summary:
The Regional Account Manager role focuses on driving revenue growth through strategic account management, commitment to focusing on the sale of in field service and re-occurring revenue, and exceptional customer service. The Regional Account Manager is responsible for managing the overall relationship with our existing customer base at the site level, while actively prospecting for new project/product opportunities and ensuring Wendt remains the preferred partner for any future capital projects.
Key Objectives:
- Be the customer’s advocate inside of Wendt Corporation – It is your responsibility to be the voice for the accounts in your territory.
- Ensure Customer Satisfaction – It is your job to make sure our Aftermarket and Capital Equipment Installation Base in your territory is running well, and the customer feels supported by Wendt.
- Pursue sales opportunities in the Wendt Corporation Aftermarket catalog.
- Expand Wendt’s footprint by prospecting for new customers and strengthening relationships with existing accounts.
- Generate leads for project/product sales and assist in closing as requested by the BDM/SAM/ Sales Management.
Responsibilities
- Present, promote, and sell Wendt Aftermarket products and services using industry knowledge and customer insights within the assigned territory.
- Support BDM/SAM/Sales Management on CAPEX sales opportunities on an as needed basis.
- Conduct regular site visits to identify needs, strengthen relationships, and uncover new opportunities.
- Communicate technical details from the field to internal teams, including BDM’s, SAM’s, Product Specialists, and Sales Management.
- Ensure timely resolution of customer issues in collaboration with the Inside Sales and Support team.
- Log and track all opportunities in Salesforce from inception to close.
- Coordinate with internal teams—Sales Engineering, Marketing, Technical Support, and Service as needed
- Document in Salesforce the management structure, installed equipment, and short- and long-term business objectives for all accounts in your territory.
- Articulate the value proposition behind Wendt to customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
- 10+ years Scrap Recycling industry-specific experience.
- 5+ years in a Customer Service/Sales position desirable.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field or equivalent work experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Has a clear understanding of the Automobile Shredding systems and the Scrap Recycling industries.
- Has an understanding of basic scrap recycling processes and the commodities they generate
- Has an understanding of best practices, best available technology and equipment used in the Automobile Shredder and Scrap Recycling industries.
- Skilled in establishing, fostering and maintaining customer relationships with openness to feedback
- Ability to communicate technical information to customers and staff members in a clear and concise manner.
- Understands how the organization fits into the industry as a whole and the links to related industries.
- Ability to progress a customer through the sales cycle
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Teams

Pay: $115,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
