Role Description
Wildflower is seeking an exceptional MBA candidate to join its acquisitions team as a Summer Associate Acquisitions Intern. In this role, you will work directly with the Head of Acquisitions and Managing Partner on live transactions across the Wildflower platform. This is a hands-on role for a self-starter who wants exposure to the full deal lifecycle at a fast-paced, founder-led developer. You will support underwriting, market research, due diligence, and capital formation across active workstreams, contributing directly to deals that are in-market over the course of the summer. The ideal candidate is analytically rigorous, commercially curious, and comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
Acquisitions & Underwriting:
- Build and maintain financial models for acquisition and development opportunities, including cash flow projections, returns analysis, and sensitivity testing
- Conduct market research on submarkets, comparable transactions, lease comps, and competitive dynamics across target asset classes
- Support due diligence on live deals, including review of leases, title, zoning, and third-party reports
- Prepare investment memoranda and presentation materials for internal review and external capital partners
- Assist in screening and sourcing new acquisition opportunities in coordination with the acquisitions team
Capital Formation & Transaction Support:
- Support preparation of materials for equity raises, project financings, and joint venture structuring
- Assist with investor and lender diligence requests, data room management, and tracking of deal workstreams
- Conduct research on counterparties, capital partners, and market participants
- Help coordinate across brokers, advisors, legal counsel, and other transaction stakeholders
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a top-tier MBA program, with an expected graduation date following the internship
- 2–4 years of pre-MBA experience in investment banking, private equity, real estate, infrastructure, or a related field
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel
- Demonstrated interest in real estate, infrastructure, energy transition, or urban development
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare polished investment materials
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently and manage multiple workstreams with urgency
- High degree of intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and commitment to ethics and integrity
The candidate will report directly to Wes Gordon, Head of Acquisitions.
Start Date: Summer 2026
Compensation: Competitive monthly stipend commensurate with an MBA-level internship
