MFS Engineers & Surveyors are seeking a Project Manager for our Survey Department. The successful candidate must have a strong background in NJDOT project work. This position reports directly to our MFS Principal Land Surveyor.
Strong oral & written communication skills and a solid understanding of right of way surveying practices are required.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates multiple survey projects involving various survey tasks including estimating and proposal preparation.
- Familiarity with business operations such as preparing billing reports and invoicing.
- Prepare and execute quality control reviews, safety and quality assurance procedures, and the final QC of all survey documents.
As a Survey PM, you will occasionally visit project sites. MFS Engineers & Surveyors provides survey services in NJ, NY and PA,
Requirements:
- New York and/or New Jersey Professional Surveyors License preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 10 years of diverse experience in land surveying,
- Must be highly professionally motivated to a high-quality deliverable and possess broad-based knowledge of right of way boundary, topographic, control practices.
- Proficient with MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D, Carlson, and Leica LGO/Infinity, Leica robotic total stations, GPS and data collectors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
- The position requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Undergo a background check (required)
- Meeting with clients, budget and schedule management
Preferences:
- Bachelor’s or associate Degree.
- Experience with NYC (NYCDDC/NYEDC) agencies preferred, but not required.
- Experience with MicroStation OpenRoads designer preferred.
- Experience with Carlson Survey software preferred, but not required
