Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Personal Insurance Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support our service team. This role serves as a primary point of contact for clients, assisting with policy servicing, billing inquiries, claims support, and coverage questions while helping ensure an exceptional client experience.
Key Responsibilities
· Respond to client inquiries regarding policies, coverage, billing, and claims in a timely and professional manner.
· Process policy changes, endorsements, renewals, and cancellations
· Assist clients with claims reporting and follow-up as needed
· Review policies with clients and explain coverage details clearly
· Maintain accurate documentation of all client interactions and transactions
· Coordinate with carriers, underwriters, and internal team members
· Identify cross-sell and account-rounding opportunities when appropriate
Qualifications
· 1–3+ years of customer service experience (insurance experience preferred)
· Property & Casualty license (or willingness to obtain within a set timeframe)
· Strong understanding of insurance products and policy structures is a plus
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
· Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency management systems
Preferred Skills
· Experience in an independent agency environment
· Familiarity with carrier portals and AMS/CRM platforms
· Ability to explain complex policy details in simple, client-friendly terms
