Role Description The Private Equity Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Los Angeles, CA. This is a high-responsibility seat with direct exposure to partners, live transactions, and every stage of the deal lifecycle, from sourcing and diligence through underwriting, financing, and post-close value creation.
Responsibilities The analyst will support the full investment lifecycle, including sourcing support, financial modeling, valuation analyses, due diligence, and preparation of investment committee materials. Day-to-day responsibilities include building detailed and dynamic three-statement financial models, analyzing financial statements, conducting industry and market research, maintaining VDR materials, and evaluating potential investment opportunities in special situations and complex transactions. The analyst will assist in transaction execution by coordinating with internal teams and external advisors, preparing presentations, and supporting legal and financial workstreams. The role also includes ongoing portfolio monitoring, performance tracking, and preparation of reports for senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance and Investments, with the ability to understand capital structures and value-creation levers.
- Proficiency in Financial Modeling and advanced Analytical Skills, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing.
- Knowledge of Private Equity concepts, including deal structures, due diligence, and portfolio value creation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related quantitative field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 2–4 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or management consulting preferred.
- Exceptional Excel skills; experience with financial databases and research tools is a plus.
- Strong interest in building and/or adopting AI solutions.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- High level of attention to detail, integrity, and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
- High ownership mentality; comfortable operating in a lean team environment.
