Position Title: Conversion Specialist

Position Summary: DEVNET is seeking a skilled Conversion Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in data conversion processes, specifically migrating data from various source systems to SQL databases. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to make informed decisions during the conversion process. Experience with property tax systems is highly desirable.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Lead and manage data conversion projects, ensuring the smooth migration of data from various source systems to SQL databases.
· Analyze and assess source data from different platforms, preparing it for successful conversion.
· Design, develop, and implement conversion processes, scripts, and tools to automate and facilitate data transfer.
· Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of data throughout the conversion process.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to understand conversion requirements and address any data migration challenges.
· Document conversion processes and create detailed reports for post-conversion analysis.
· Provide post-conversion support and troubleshooting to resolve any data-related issues.
· Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical team members to ensure smooth project execution.
· Apply strong decision-making skills to address potential issues or obstacles during data conversion.
Requirements:
· Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data conversion and migration, particularly involving SQL database.
· Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL database management systems (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.), Visual Studio and SSIS data migration tools. Experience with property tax data conversion is a plus.
· Source Systems: Demonstrated experience converting data from various systems including Excel, CSV, Access, legacy systems, etc.
· Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
· Decision Making: Ability to make informed decisions and problem-solve efficiently in high-pressure situations.
