Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Fire Sprinkler Designer to join our innovative engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise and efficient fire sprinkler system designs that ensure safety and compliance across diverse construction projects. Your expertise will help translate complex fire protection requirements into clear, workable plans, supporting the successful execution of building safety standards. Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive fire sprinkler system layouts using CAD software, ensuring adherence to local codes and safety standards.
- Create detailed schematics, piping diagrams, and mechanical design drawings for fire protection systems.
- Utilize AutoSprink, Revit, NavisWorks, and AutoCad, to model and visualize designs in 3D environments.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction teams to integrate fire sprinkler systems seamlessly into overall project plans.
- Review project specifications, perform site visits when necessary, and modify designs based on field conditions or client feedback.
- Prepare accurate drafting documents, technical reports, and construction documents that facilitate smooth project execution.
- Stay updated with industry best practices, new technologies such as 2D animation for visual presentations, and evolving fire safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in mechanical design or fire protection system drafting with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD; familiarity with Revit, NavisWorks, and AutoSprink is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of schematics creation, piping layouts, and construction documentation processes.
- Strong understanding of fire sprinkler system components and installation standards.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics accurately while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with project teams and clients.
