Project Executive – Commercial Construction
Location: Columbus, OH
Salary: $140,000 – $170,000 base + performance bonus + profit sharing + ownership opportunity
The Opportunity
Our client, a respected and growing General Contractor with a strong footprint across Central Ohio, is seeking a Project Executive to help lead their commercial construction operations. This position is suited for a proven leader who values collaboration, enjoys developing teams, and wants to play a meaningful role in both project delivery and organizational growth.
The company is open to high-performing Senior Project Managers ready to step into an executive-level role, offering a clear path for career progression. You will provide oversight across multiple projects while driving consistency and operational excellence throughout a diverse portfolio that includes K-12, higher education, commercial, retail, public/civic, and community-focused work. Project sizes vary, creating opportunities to influence both large, complex builds and high-profile local projects.
What You’ll Do:
- Provide executive oversight across multiple projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Project Engineers, and field teams
- Partner with preconstruction to support pursuit strategy, budgeting, and client presentations
- Maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and trade partners
- Drive project performance related to schedule, budget, safety, and quality
- Support strategic planning and help position the business for continued growth
- Foster a positive, accountable, team-first culture
What We’re Looking For:
- 10+ years of commercial construction experience with progressive leadership responsibility
- Background managing multiple projects and guiding teams simultaneously
- Strong operational and financial acumen
- Proven ability to develop people and build high-performing teams
- Client-facing presence with excellent communication skills
- Experience across diverse commercial project types preferred
