Exciting Commercial HVAC Sales & Project Manager Position — Build a Bay‑Area Pipeline, Own Projects End‑to‑End — Work with a Supportive Team

What You’ll Do (Responsibilities)
Sales & Business Development
- Build and maintain a commercial pipeline: prospecting, cold calling, networking (BNI, trade groups), trade shows, and pursuing GC/spec opportunities.
- Sell preventative maintenance contracts, service agreements, equipment replacements and small/medium projects. Present ROI and maintenance value to facility managers and controllers.
- Qualify leads, prepare estimates, solicit vendor pricing, and submit bids. Use existing marketing leads and expand outreach.
- Track and grow recurring maintenance hours and conversion rates.
Project Management & Field Leadership
- Manage project lifecycle: pre‑con meetings, material/spec gathering, change orders, milestone invoicing and collections, final closeout.
- Act as client point‑of‑contact during projects; coordinate with Ops Manager for handoffs and daily execution.
- Oversee smaller projects in the field (up to 5‑unit changeouts, chiller/boiler replacements).
- Ensure accurate project documentation, parts/material delivery, and timely communication with clients and field crew.
Operations & Reporting
- Use or adopt CRM/job management tools (we plan to scale integrations with ServiceTrade).
- Maintain accurate pipeline, bid logs, and opportunity close metrics.
- Provide weekly status updates to owner and ops manager.
- Support continuous improvement of sales/process workflows.
Day‑in‑the‑Life (Typical Week)
- 1–2 days/week: job walks, client meetings, pre‑con meetings, on‑site troubleshooting and inspections.
- 2–3 days/week: estimating, vendor pricing, bid prep, CRM updates, outreach and prospecting.
- Remaining time: networking, trade shows, follow‑up with GCs/facility contacts, coordinating materials and change orders, and project check‑ins.
Must‑have Requirements
- Minimum of 3+ years commercial HVAC experience (sales or technical). Candidates with B2B sales experience and HVAC technical knowledge considered. Residential HVAC sales experience accepted when paired with technical aptitude.
- Comfortable cold calling, prospecting, and building a sales pipeline from scratch.
- Strong project management skills: estimating, change orders, invoicing milestones, client communication.
- Able to perform hands‑on field verification and basic troubleshooting Day 1.
- Clean professional appearance, valid CA driver’s license, reliable transportation (vehicle stipend/fleet card provided).
- Excellent verbal communication and networking skills; organized and self‑directed.
Preferred
- HVAC technician/contractor license or refrigeration endorsement.
- Experience with chillers, boilers, rooftop units, controls and maintenance program selling.
- Familiarity with ServiceTrade or similar job management/CRM platforms.
- Track record selling maintenance contracts, equipment replacements, or commercial projects.
