Wright Mechanical is looking for a full-time Controller to join our team!

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the organization, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to provide strategic guidance to support organizational growth.
Responsibilities:
· Have complete and thorough knowledge of all accounting functions and procedures
· Oversee day-to-day functions of the accounting team
· Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
· Accurate and timely financial and management reporting as directed
· Proficient/knowledgeable with all computer software systems used for the preparation of reports, spreadsheets, and other accounting analyses that may be required by management
· Oversee payroll, making proper federal, state, and 401k deposits into respective accounts
· Maintain all company operating, payroll, savings, and investment banking accounts, including deposits, disbursements, and balancing.
· Monitor daily cash balances to cover obligations and maximize earnings
· Prepare monthly cash projection reports
· Complete federal and state payroll tax returns and necessary deposits
· Work with the owner and managers to assist with company operations and profitability
· Oversee proper levels of General Liability and Workers' Compensation insurance
· Oversee and maintain employees’ personnel files, including all tax forms, insurance records, 401k records, and employment and drug test records.
· Assist and review with management employees’ health insurance and 401k plans
· Perform fiscal year-end accounting close with the CPA
· Process employee year-end W2s and 1099 forms, distributing to employees/payees and appropriate federal and state agencies
· Verify subcontractors and vendors meet all requirements of the contract agreement before any payments
· Maintain accounting records and files on all projects
· Interface with team to accurately charge and code invoices to the proper job cost and general ledger account
· Thorough knowledge of the procedure manual
· Keep current / maintain the procedure manual
· Keep current / maintain the employee handbook
· Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting or related field
· Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with OneDrive and SharePoint;
· QuickBooks or similar software required.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
· Proven leadership abilities, with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
· Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: Starting at $75,000.00 depending on experience

Pay: $75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
