As a Civil Project Manager, Pre-Development, you will leverage your experience and knowledge in engineering and land planning to bring a unique pre-development consulting service to our clients. If you have site development knowledge with a desire to manage multiple projects in Western North Carolina we are looking for you. This position will work across the organization with Client Managers to achieve high-output and positive results.
Pre-Development works on projects at a master planning and multi-concept level to help clients determine the feasibility of projects before moving forward with real estate contracts and further development efforts. Pre-Development also completes the early entitlement process for projects that require public involvement and processing through Boards, Commissions and Councils to gain high level approval before detailed design and permitting occurs. Lastly Pre-Development is the coordinator of early due diligence between survey, geotechnical, environmental, architectural and client to ensure the site compatibility is vetted.
Core Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for overall success of assigned projects within pre-development scope
- Manages financial performance for multiple project budgets
- Meets client needs and expectations by coordinating scheduling, anticipating deadlines and communicating cross-functionally and with external stakeholders with ease
- Coordinates with permitting agencies, team members and other stakeholders as needed for the production of all project deliverables.
Qualifications
- Licensed Professional Engineer and/or Landscape Architect/Planner
- 8-10 years experience and demonstrated proficiency in civil engineering design, project management, supervisory experience and client management
- In-depth knowledge of local entitlement and review processes and procedures or willingness to acquire specific knowledge within 6 months of hire.
- Strong supervisory and mentorship skills for Junior Engineers/Designers, proven leadership experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to handle a high-volume of communication related to projects and maintain a disciplined schedule and length of focus
