Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Pharmacist / Pharmacy Business Analyst to serve as a bridge between pharmacy operations, business stakeholders, and technology teams. The ideal candidate will possess strong pharmacy domain expertise along with business analysis skills to support pharmacy systems, workflows, regulatory compliance, and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with pharmacy leadership, pharmacists, clinicians, and operational teams to gather and document business requirements.
• Conduct stakeholder interviews, workshops, and process reviews.
• Develop BRDs, FRDs, user stories, workflows, and use cases.
• Analyze pharmacy workflows and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Support prescription processing, medication dispensing, inventory management, and prior authorization initiatives.
• Work closely with IT teams on pharmacy application enhancements and integrations.
• Develop and execute UAT test cases.
• Support go-live activities and post-implementation support.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, FDA, DEA, and pharmacy regulations.
Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Healthcare Administration, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
• PharmD preferred.
• 5+ years of pharmacy operations experience.
• 3+ years of Business Analyst experience in healthcare/pharmacy environments.
• Strong understanding of PBM, Specialty Pharmacy, Retail Pharmacy, or Hospital Pharmacy workflows.
• Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, BRD, FRD, UAT, and stakeholder management.
