Responsibilities:
The Healthcare Investment Banking Group of Cantor Fitzgerald is seeking Analysts to support the execution of a broad range of advisory and capital raising transactions across life sciences and biopharma. Analysts will work closely with Associates and senior bankers, gaining meaningful experience in transaction execution, financial analysis, and strategic advisory.
- Support the execution of equity financings, M&A, and other strategic advisory transactions for life sciences clients
- Prepare pitch books, offering memoranda, management presentations, and other transaction marketing materials
- Perform detailed financial modeling and valuation analysis to support live transactions and pitches
- Conduct industry, company, and product research across various therapeutic areas in biopharma
- Participate in client meetings and investor presentations
- Support drafting sessions for underwriting and advisory engagements
- Conduct comprehensive industry, company, and transaction-specific due diligence
- Provide analytical and execution support to senior bankers and deal teams
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of investment banking experience; life sciences/biopharma experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated experience supporting M&A, capital markets transactions, and strategic advisory assignments
- General knowledge of life sciences and biopharma industry trends
- Financial modeling and valuation expertise, knowledge of biopharma-specific frameworks preferred
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Series 63 and 79 licenses preferred
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Undergraduate or graduate coursework in life sciences (biology or related field) is a differentiating plus
Compensation:
- Base salary range of $125,000 - $135,000, plus discretionary bonus
The actual base salary will be determined on an individualized basis considering a wide range of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, education, and, where applicable, licenses or certifications held. In addition to base salary and a competitive benefits package (including health, vision, and dental insurance, paid time off and a 401(k) retirement), this position may be eligible for additional types of compensation including discretionary bonuses and other short- and long-term incentives (e.g., deferred cash, equity, etc.).
