About Us
Claro Insurance is a fast-growing insurance agency dedicated to providing exceptional protection and peace of mind to our clients. We currently specialize in comprehensive Life and Health Insurance solutions, with exciting plans to expand our portfolio into Medicare and Property & Casualty (P&C) in the near future.
We are looking for a dynamic, detail-oriented Customer Service Representative who is ready to deliver world-class service to our policyholders, manage daily operations, and grow alongside our agency.
Position Overview
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be the heartbeat of our agency. You will serve as the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring they have a seamless onboarding experience and that their policy needs are met with precision. This is not just a passive service role—we are looking for a proactive professional who can identify client gaps in coverage and leverage cross-sell opportunities to maximize value for our clients and the agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Onboarding & Relationship Building: Welcome new clients, guide them through the onboarding process, and establish a high standard of communication.
- Policy Management: Process policy endorsements, policy changes, and premium adjustments with high accuracy.
- Client Support: Answer inbound inquiries regarding coverage, billing, claims, and general policy questions.
- Cross-Selling & Revenue Growth: Actively review existing client portfolios to identify coverage gaps, educating clients on additional Life and Health products (and upcoming Medicare/P&C lines).
- Retention: Address client concerns and proactively work to retain at-risk accounts through empathetic and solution-oriented service.
- Administrative Compliance: Maintain meticulous records of all client interactions, updates, and transactions within our agency management system.
Qualifications & Skills
- Licensing: An active Active 2-15 (Life, Health, and Variable Annuity) or 4-40/2-20 (P&C) license is highly preferred, or a strong willingness to obtain additional licensing quickly as the agency expands.
- Experience: 1–3 years of experience in a customer service, account management, or sales support role (insurance industry experience is a major plus).
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport.
- Sales Mindset: Comfortable pivoting from a service conversation into a consultative cross-sell discussion.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with modern standard office software, CRM systems, or Agency Management Systems (AMS).
- Adaptability: Enthusiastic about learning new insurance lines (Medicare and P&C) as the agency scales.
