Role Description This is an on-site or remote, contract Social Media & Growth Intern role based in New York, NY or Miami. The intern will support daily social media activities, including drafting posts, creating short-form content, scheduling across platforms, and responding to community engagement. They will assist in executing growth experiments, tracking performance metrics, and reporting on key insights to inform content and marketing decisions. The role includes collaborating with the founding team on campaign ideas, researching social and dating industry trends, and identifying new channels or tactics to grow brand awareness. The intern will also help maintain a consistent brand voice and ensure all content aligns with Sophia’s mission and values.
You’ll support Sophia’s growth across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and community channels, including:
- Creating and posting short-form content across Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, Substack
- Helping develop content ideas, hooks, captions, and social formats
- Supporting daily outbound growth through DMs, comments, and community engagement
- Identifying creators, tastemakers, potential members, and partnership opportunities
- Tracking what content is working and helping us double down on what drives growth
- Supporting launch campaigns, influencer seeding, events, and partnerships
- Helping turn Sophia’s brand voice into content that feels elegant, intelligent, and culturally relevant
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Content Creation across platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, X, and LinkedIn.
- Foundational knowledge of Digital Marketing and Marketing principles, including basic analytics and audience targeting.
- Clear, concise Communication skills, both written and verbal, with attention to tone and brand voice.
- Experience or interest in startups, consumer tech, or relationship/dating products is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in New York, NY, manage multiple tasks, and adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment.
- Familiarity with design or video tools (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Adobe Express) and basic data analysis in spreadsheets is a plus.
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, Psychology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
