Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven ABL (Asset-Based Lending) Relationship Manager to join our team. Duties
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their business operations and financial needs to deliver customized ABL solutions
- Identify new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and market research to expand the client portfolio
- Conduct thorough credit analysis and underwriting assessments to evaluate loan applications, ensuring compliance with banking regulations such as the Bank Secrecy Act
- Negotiate loan terms, conditions, and pricing with clients to secure mutually beneficial agreements while managing risk effectively
- Monitor ongoing portfolio performance through cash flow analysis, risk management practices, and financial software tools to identify potential issues early
- Collaborate with internal teams—including credit analysts, underwriters, and legal departments—to process loan documentation and ensure accurate loan processing
- Engage in upselling and cross-selling of additional financial products or services to deepen client relationships and maximize revenue opportunities
- Maintain comprehensive records of client interactions, transaction details, and compliance documentation in accordance with banking policies
Requirements
- Proven experience in banking or financial services with a focus on relationship management or commercial lending
- Strong knowledge of financial concepts such as cash flow analysis, credit analysis, underwriting, and risk management strategies
- Familiarity with financial software platforms used for portfolio management and financial analysis
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to influence outcomes positively for both clients and the bank
- Deep understanding of banking regulations including the Bank Secrecy Act and anti-money laundering procedures
- Exceptional customer service skills coupled with a proactive approach to business development and relationship building
- Analytical mindset with strong math skills essential for financial analysis and risk assessment
- Ability to interpret complex financial statements and perform detailed credit evaluations
- Effective communication skills for engaging clients confidently while collaborating across internal teams
