Overview
This role focuses on the design, enhancement, and optimization of billing and financial systems as the Product Owner for billing-related platforms. It aims to translate business needs into scalable system solutions, improve billing accuracy and efficiency, and support cross-functional collaboration across Finance, Operations, and Engineering teams.
Responsibilities
- Act as Product Owner for billing system features, configurations, and enhancements.
- Translate billing, payables, and finance requirements into product specifications.
- Design billing logic, charge rules, and system workflows to ensure accurate invoicing.
- Gather business requirements and convert them into functional specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on system implementation and feature improvements.
- Configure billing modules and design automation logic to enhance efficiency.
- Support onboarding of new customers and set up billing structures.
- Act as a liaison between Finance, Operations, and Engineering to ensure alignment on system capabilities.
- Train internal users and maintain product documentation, including workflows and configurations.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Finance, or related field.
- 3–5+ years of experience in Business Analyst, Product Owner, or System Analyst roles.
- Experience in designing or supporting billing, finance, or ERP systems.
- Strong understanding of system workflows and business processes.
- Experience working with engineering teams on system implementation.
- Excellent requirement documentation and communication skills.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience with billing platforms, ERP, TMS, WMS, or financial systems.
- Experience writing functional specifications or user stories.
- Experience with system configuration and workflow design.
- Background in logistics, 3PL, or supply chain systems.
