We are a growing men’s fashion retail chain with over 70 stores across the Northeast, and we are looking for an Assistant Shoe Buyer to join our buying team.
This is a hands-on role for someone interested in retail, product, fashion, and the buying process. The Assistant Shoe Buyer will work closely with the buying team to support day-to-day operations, review sales performance, assist with vendor communication, and help identify product opportunities across our stores.

Responsibilities
- Review sales by store, style, color, size, and category
- Help track best sellers, slow sellers, and product opportunities
- Assist with purchase orders, vendor follow-ups, and order updates
- Support replenishment, transfers, markdowns, and promotions
- Help organize assortments for different stores, markets, and customer needs
- Visit stores to better understand product presentation, customer demand, and selling trends
- Communicate with vendors, store teams, and internal departments
- Stay aware of footwear, fashion, pricing, and seasonal trends
- Prepare reports to help the buying team make informed product decisions
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with Excel, reports, and sales numbers
- Interest in fashion, footwear, retail, and product
- Good communication and follow-up skills
- Organized, reliable, and willing to learn
- Able to work in a fast-paced retail environment
- Retail, footwear, merchandising, or buying experience is a plus
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
