Vedder Holsters is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Email Specialist to create, test, and optimize email marketing campaigns. In this role, you will drive engagement and conversions by managing audience segmentation, automation, and analytics. Additionally, you will craft compelling copy, improve deliverability, and maintain regulatory compliance from campaign strategy to execution.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute email marketing strategies aligned with company goals, including promotions, product launches, newsletters, and lifecycle campaigns.
- Build and manage campaign calendars and collaborate with marketing leadership on growth and retention initiatives.
- Create, design, and deploy email campaigns within the email service provider (ESP), ensuring responsive, mobile-friendly formatting using HTML/CSS when needed.
- Personalize email campaigns using segmentation, dynamic content, and audience targeting based on engagement, purchase behavior, demographics, and lifecycle stage.
- Manage subscriber lists, maintain database health, and implement suppression lists and opt-out management.
- Build and optimize automated workflows including welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase follow-ups, re-engagement, and win-back campaigns.
- Conduct quality assurance testing and A/B testing on subject lines, content, layouts, and send times to improve engagement and conversions.
- Monitor key performance metrics including open rate, click-through rate, conversion rate, revenue per email, unsubscribe rate, and deliverability.
- Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights through regular reporting.
- Monitor sender reputation, inbox placement, and domain authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), and troubleshoot deliverability issues.
- Collaborate with copywriters and designers to develop compelling content while maintaining brand voice and messaging consistency.
- Ensure compliance with email marketing regulations including CAN-SPAM and consent tracking requirements.
- Support revenue growth through promotional campaigns, cross-sell and upsell initiatives, and customer retention strategies.
- Provide project coordination support by organizing and monitoring campaign tasks and timelines.
Requirements:
- Experience in the firearms or related industry preferred.
- Strong writing and copywriting skills.
- Proficiency with email marketing platforms (preferably Klaviyo).
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for email design.
- Experience with analytics and reporting tools such as Google Analytics.
- Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Dependable, adaptable, and detail-oriented with strong teamwork skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in area of specialty or proven and significant experience in the field or in a related area.
- Professional experience in a marketing role, preferably including digital marketing or social media initiatives, with 3+ years of experience.
- Professional experience in email marketing role, preferably 3-5 years experience.
