CompensationSalary Range: $188,500 - $314,100 plus eligibility for annual bonus program and long-term incentive plan
Who You Are- A seasoned leader with 12+ years of experience running data, analytics, or engineering function(s) and owning strategy.
- 3+ years of proven experience leading, mentoring and developing technical teams.
- A track record of delivering AI or analytics solutions with real, measurable business impact.
- Significant technical depth in data science and AI.
- Strong executive presence: you build trust with senior business and IT leaders and bring others along.
- Hands-on with AI: fluent with AI coding agents and modern AI (LLMs, RAG, and the like).
- Experience standing up or scaling an AI or advanced-analytics function a plus.
- Experience shipping AI or ML products (LLMs, RAG, evaluations) at scale a plus.
- Change leadership expertise.
- High School Diploma required, bachelor's degree or higher preferred.
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
Travel:Required Training & Professional DevelopmentAll newly hired people leaders with direct reports are required to complete a comprehensive leadership development program within their first year. This program includes both virtual and in-person training. The in-person sessions will take place at Symetra's corporate headquarters in Bellevue, Washington. Symetra covers all travel and accommodation expenses.
