Service Rentals & Supplies is seeking a motivated, results-driven Outside Sales Representative to grow our presence across the Kona market. This is a commission-only position with strong earning potential of $75,000 or more for the right candidate — your income is a direct reflection of your performance and dedication.
For over 50 years, we have proudly served the families and businesses of Hawaii as a locally owned and operated company with five locations across four islands. We offer a trusted brand, an extensive equipment inventory, and the infrastructure to set our sales team up for success. Now we're looking for a competitive, relationship-focused professional to take ownership of this territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain lasting business relationships by visiting prospective and existing clients throughout Maui.
- Design and execute strategic sales plans to drive equipment rentals and sales revenue.
- Research competitor pricing, industry trends, and market conditions to position our company as the preferred choice.
- Build and manage an accurate customer database, sales records, and performance reports.
- Develop marketing materials to increase brand awareness and expand market share.
- Consistently meet or exceed established sales targets.
- Represent the company professionally by supporting walk-in customers and inbound calls as part of a collaborative team environment.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of sales experience required.
- Two or more years of construction equipment rental and sales experience, including equipment demonstration, strongly preferred.
Skills & Abilities
- Proven sales, customer service, and networking skills with a track record of results.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across diverse industries and client types.
- Strong problem-solving ability with sound independent judgment and the confidence to escalate when appropriate.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Professional presentation and a self-motivated, positive approach to work.
- Ability to understand basic financial statements and prepare sales contracts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel — Beginner to Intermediate; Word — Beginner); ability to learn rental POS software (training provided).
- Willingness and ability to travel off-island as needed.
- Ability to safely operate and demonstrate various rental and sales equipment.
- Must maintain an acceptable attendance record and pass a company drug test.
- Ability to complete certified forklift and aerial lift training.
