Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Manufacturing Engineer with 3–4 years of experience to support and improve manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing production processes, improving product quality, reducing manufacturing costs, and ensuring efficient operations while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency.
- Analyze production workflows and identify opportunities for continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Design and implement process improvements to reduce waste, cycle time, and production costs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering.
- Create and maintain work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), process documentation, and engineering drawings.
- Investigate manufacturing issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Support new product introductions (NPI), process validation, and production ramp-up activities.
- Evaluate manufacturing equipment and recommend upgrades or automation solutions to improve operational performance.
- Monitor production metrics and prepare reports on process performance, quality, and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety regulations, company policies, and quality management systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 3–4 years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and Continuous Improvement principles.
- Experience with process validation, root cause analysis, PFMEA, and control plans.
- Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and quality improvement tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Lean Manufacturing Certification.
- Experience with automation, robotics, PLCs, or CNC manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality management systems.
- Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
