Reporting directly to the Design Supervisor, this position will be responsible to work in conjunction with the project Engineer to produce P&ID’s and the detailed drawings required for each individual project.
What You Will Do
Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following:
- Drafting P&IDs under the direction of engineering
- Detailing construction drawings from 3D models provided by project designers
- Follow industry and established Company engineering/design standards
- Work closely with project designers to ensure accuracy of scope
- Prioritizing project workload to ensure drawing dates are met
- Accountability for adhering to the project budget for design hours
- Helping to develop and maintain company design standards and associated documentation
Education, Skills and Experience
Your education and experience include:
- Bachelor’s Degree, associate’s degree, Diploma or Technical School Training in ME, EE, Computer Aided Design Technology or related field
- Proficient in Autocad, CadWorx, and Vault
- Strong creative mechanical and structural design ability
- Results oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to quality, accuracy, and thoroughness
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good organizational and planning skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- 2+ years drafting P&IDs and understanding of line types and symbology.
- 2+ years detailing piping, structural or vessel drawings
- Knowledge reciprocating natural gas compression packages, oil & gas equipment or modular assemblies including piping and structural components.
- Experience with SolidWorks
