Hourly Rate:$22.88
Annual Education Stipends:$500 for Associates Degree/Accredited Training Program Certification or$1000 for Bachelors Degree or$1500 for Masters Degree

- Job Responsibilities: Procuring and creating visual materials for print and digital distribution such as newsletters, calendars, photography, and some video. Posting information online, including social media, and sending directly to print/presses. Will require some travel to school buildings across Western New York.
Specific Duties: (Illustrative only; not all inclusive)
- Confers with clients regarding techniques, services, or materials availability and serves as a resource for design, technical or other information related to graphics and printing.
- Gathers, designs, produces and updates print and electronic publications including prepress and completion of finishing operations.
- Proficient in Adobe and Microsoft products.
- Create and/or publish imagery and text on websites.
- Assists with other related tasks, including photography, video, enlarging posters and laminating materials.
- Other duties may be assigned that are relevant to the civil service job description for this title.
Clerical Duties
- Assists in updating daily records dealing with the design phase of the operation.
- Assists in processing project orders.
- Assist the Director of Communications corresponding with clients and prospective clients. Civil Service Title:Graphic Artist
Job Qualifications
Minimum Civil Service Qualifications:A) Completion of a recognized two (2) year, post high school program in commercial art and one (1) year of full time commercial art experience; OR;
B) Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and three (3) years of full time commercial art experience OR;
C) An equivalent combination of training and experience as defined by the limits of (A) and (B).Additional Qualifications:
- At least two (2) years of full-time commercial art or professional multi-media experience.
- Extensive Adobe Creative Suite experience.
