Business Development Coordinator – Employment Tax Consulting

Ryan is seeking a motivated, organized, and professional Business Development Coordinator based in the Charlotte, NC area to support our growing Employment Tax Consulting practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys engaging with business executives, building relationships, and helping companies identify significant financial opportunities.
Our team helps employers recover overlooked state and federal payroll tax refunds and savings associated with mergers, acquisitions, workforce changes, and other complex employment tax matters. Our services are 100% contingency-based, meaning clients pay only when we successfully identify and recover savings.

The Business Development Coordinator will play a key role in generating new business opportunities by conducting targeted outreach to prospective clients via email, LinkedIn, and occasional phone calls. The primary objective is to schedule introductory meetings between prospective clients and our senior Employment Tax Consultants.
This is not a high-pressure sales role. Instead, you’ll educate prospects about our services, build interest, and coordinate qualified appointments with decision-makers, including CFOs, Controllers, Tax Directors, HR leaders, Payroll Directors, and Private Equity professionals.
The ideal candidate is naturally curious, professional, persistent without being aggressive, and enjoys helping create opportunities for a highly specialized consulting practice.
Responsibilities:
● Execute personalized outbound email campaigns to prospective clients.
● Conduct LinkedIn outreach and manage follow-up communications.
● Qualify prospective opportunities and schedule introductory Teams or Zoom meetings with companies that have recently completed acquisitions creating employment tax opportunities.
● Maintain accurate CRM records and track outreach activities.
● Coordinate calendars for senior consultants.
● Assist with proposal follow-up and marketing initiatives.
● Work closely with consultants to develop targeted prospect lists.
Qualifications:
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
● Comfortable communicating with senior executives.
● Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics is preferred.
● Experience with Outlook, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
● Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.
● Prior experience in business development, appointment setting, inside sales, recruiting, or professional services is a plus.
