The Public Relations Assistant is needed to support on day-to-day activities of the US-based Public Relations team.
The Public Relations Assistant is needed to provide critical administrative PR support across the company's eyewear, retail, and pure player portfolio.
Due to the volume of workload, the assistant is needed to support the Americas PR leader to maximize PR results.
The assistant is needed to support in the creation of PR presentations, recaps and reports; implementation of PR strategies; tracking and analyzing those strategies' results; organic and paid influencer programs and product seeding; paid editorial/media partnerships, PR events; product shipments and other logistics coordination; invoice submission and budget and administrative management.
General Summary:
The Public Relations Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day Public Relations activities for Sunglass Hut. Based in NYC, this role will report directly to Diamond , Senior Public Relations Manager for Sunglass Hut globally.
Position Responsibilities:
Support the Senior Public Relations Manager in all public relations efforts – from day-to-day tasks to broader brainstorming and creating targeted PR plans/influencer strategies.
Liase with external agency partners to fulfill editorial requests and ensure the SGH PR department is running smoothly and efficiently.
PR asset development (I.e., talking points, quotes, media alerts, trend pitches, etc.)
Media list maintenance
PR recaps
Influencer research (ongoing)
Event support (including RSVP lists, inviting media, organizing product and displays, etc.) • Product order fulfillment (for gifting and samples)
Operational requests (communications to stores, receiving campaign assets, high-res images, credit requests, shipments, messengers, etc.)
Position Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in communications, PR, Advertising/Marketing or Journalism preferred
Possess excellent written, verbal, and organizational communication skills
Ability to be flexible and adapt in a fast-paced, sometimes high-pressure environment
Possess outstanding project-management and strong follow-up skills
Proven ability to complete time-sensitive tasks under minimal direction
