Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Engineer with 0–3 years of experience to join our team in Maryland. This full-time role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in manufacturing by supporting production operations, process improvements, equipment optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing efficiency, product quality, and operational performance while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily manufacturing operations and troubleshoot production issues.
- Assist in developing, improving, and optimizing manufacturing processes.
- Participate in process validation, equipment qualification, and production readiness activities.
- Analyze production data and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions, SOPs, and process flow diagrams.
- Collaborate with Quality, Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and Engineering teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Assist with new product introductions, equipment installations, and process transfers.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, safety, and company quality standards where applicable.
- Participate in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
- 0–3 years of manufacturing engineering experience (internships and co-op experience are welcome).
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, production systems, and engineering principles.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD.
- Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Exposure to process validation, quality systems, or GMP-regulated manufacturing is a plus.
- Understanding of statistical analysis and root cause investigation tools.
