Hydra is building the future of gut health. We're starting with a new gut health and wellness studio opening in Flatiron this fall that's bringing colon hydrotherapy - one of the oldest wellness practices in the world - into a modern, design-forward experience. We're founder-led, funded, and early, which means you'll help shape the brand from the ground up.
The role
You'll be our first marketing hire, working directly with our founder and fractional CMO to own the day-to-day of our social presence and content. This is a role for someone with an exceptional design eye who lives and breathes Instagram - you care as much about how something looks as what it says. You'll turn our brand identity into a beautiful, consistent presence that makes people stop scrolling and want to book.
What you'll do
- Own and run the social calendar (Instagram-first), keeping everything elevated and on-brand
- Design and produce assets in Canva (and ideally Figma) - graphics, education posts, editorial imagery, AI-generated visuals
- Manage influencer outreach and seeding: build the target list, run outreach, track and nurture relationships
- Be the guardian of brand consistency across every channel, using our brand book as your bible
- Support email/SMS campaigns and light website updates as needed
- Help coordinate local partnerships (studios, health-food and smoothie spots, wellness businesses near Flatiron)
Who you are
- ~2–3 years out of school, with 1-3 years in social, content, or brand
- A genuinely great design eye and taste - aesthetics are your obsession
- Fluent in Instagram and TikTok; skilled in Canva (bonus: Figma, CapCut, Later/Planoly)
- A strong, clear writer with a feel for elevated, editorial brand voice
- Organized, proactive, and comfortable in early-stage ambiguity - you make things happen without a playbook
- NYC-based and able to be in-person/hybrid around Flatiron
- Bonus: a real interest in wellness, gut health, or longevity
Logistics
Part-time contract, roughly 20 hrs/week, NYC-based. Room to grow with the company.
Comp: $3,500-$4,000/month
