About the Role
We are seeking an Interior Designer with conviction — someone who doesn’t just execute layouts, but leads clients, challenges assumptions, and creates spaces people talk about.
At Adonis Kitchen & Bath, we specialize in design-forward, high-end kitchen and bathroom remodeling. We are not interested in cookie-cutter solutions, trend-chasing without thought, or playing it safe. Our goal is simple but ambitious:
to become the most respected design/remodeling company in Ohio.
This role is ideal for a designer who:
- Is confident presenting bold ideas
- Can guide indecisive homeowners toward great decisions
- Understands how design impacts construction, cost, and experience
- Wants their work photographed, published, and remembered
What You’ll Do
Design Leadership
- Lead clients through the full design process — from concept to construction-ready plans
- Develop original, thoughtful design concepts that balance beauty, function, and buildability
- Confidently present and defend design decisions with clarity and authority
- Reduce decision fatigue by curating strong options instead of overwhelming clients
Technical Design & Documentation
- Create floor plans, elevations, and layouts using tools such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, ProKitchen, Revit, or similar
- Translate design intent into clear documentation for construction teams
- Understand and respect real-world constraints: clearances, plumbing, electrical, ventilation, and code-related considerations
- Prepare finish selections, specifications, and material packages that align with budget and vision
Collaboration & Project Execution
- Work closely with project managers and vendors to protect design integrity through construction
- Participate in site visits to ensure the built result matches the design intent
- Identify potential issues early and collaborate on smart, buildable solutions
- Maintain organized project documentation and timelines
Creative Growth & Brand Building
- Stay current on design trends, materials, fixtures, and emerging products
- Bring new ideas to the table — layouts, materials, details, and approaches
- Contribute to a growing design culture focused on learning, critique, and excellence
- Help elevate the company’s portfolio, reputation, and long-term design legacy
What We’re Looking For
Required
- Proven experience in interior design, kitchen & bath design, or residential remodeling
- A portfolio that demonstrates strong space planning, material selection, and design judgment
- Working knowledge of design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, ProKitchen, Revit, or similar
Solid understanding of:
- Space planning and clearances
- Color theory and material coordination
- Lighting design fundamentals
- Construction and renovation workflows
- Strong communication skills — you can explain why a design works, not just what it is
- Experience in high-end residential kitchens and/or bathrooms
- Comfort working directly with homeowners and guiding them through decisions
Strongly Preferred
- Confidence handling indecisive clients and narrowing choices effectively
- Ability to think beyond “safe” solutions while staying realistic and buildable
- Interest in continuous learning, critique, and design improvement
- Comfort with presentation tools, mood boards, and client-facing visuals
Nice to Have
- Experience with lighting selection or lighting sales
- Familiarity with NKBA standards
- Interest in being part of a growing, design-driven company (not a static corporate role)
Why Work With Us
- Design-first culture — your ideas matter here
- High-end projects with real creative freedom
- Clear processes that support designers instead of burying them
- A growing company with big goals and momentum
- Opportunities for professional development, industry events, and long-term growth
- A team that values being humble, hungry, and smart
This is not a role for someone who wants to quietly draft behind the scenes.
It is a role for a designer who wants to be proud of their work — and wants it seen.
