Full Job Description:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for supporting customers and internal manufacturing teams by providing technical expertise throughout the product lifecycle. This role works closely with customers, Program Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality, and Production to ensure printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) are designed, built, tested, and delivered to the highest quality standards.
The ideal candidate has experience in electronics manufacturing (EMS/CM), understands Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Test (DFT), and supports new product introduction (NPI), production troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Essential ResponsibilitiesCustomer & Product Support
- Serve as the technical engineering contact for assigned customer programs.
- Review customer documentation including schematics, BOMs, Gerber files, assembly drawings, and specifications.
- Provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Test (DFT) recommendations.
- Participate in customer design reviews and engineering meetings.
- Support engineering change requests (ECO/ECN) and document revisions.
Manufacturing Support
- Troubleshoot production issues involving SMT, through-hole, cable assembly, electromechanical assembly, and functional testing.
- Perform root cause analysis using structured problem-solving methods.
- Recommend corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support continuous improvement projects focused on yield, quality, and efficiency.
- Evaluate process improvements that reduce cost and improve manufacturability.
Quality & Compliance
- Support ISO 9001, ISO 13485, IPC, and customer-specific quality requirements.
- Participate in internal and external audits.
- Assist with failure analysis and customer corrective actions (8D, CARs).
- Review nonconforming material and disposition recommendations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing, PCBA assembly, or product engineering.
- Ability to read and interpret:
- Electrical schematics
- PCB layouts
- Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Assembly drawings
- Manufacturing documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Experience using electronic test equipment including oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, logic analyzers, and power supplies.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Must qualify as a U.S. person under applicable export control regulations

Pay: $80,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
