THE ROLE
You take signed design agreements, decks, porches, pergolas, hardscape, and outdoor living spaces and turn them into refined designs, accurate estimates, and closed projects. Our Project Developers sell the agreement and hand you a committed client. You own the design and technical side of the presentation; they close.
The company is a Platinum-level contractor with leading decking manufacturers, a certified dealer for premium decking materials, and the exclusive dealer for a high-end louvered roof system in North Metro Atlanta.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years designing and estimating decks, porches, or outdoor living projects specifically
- Working knowledge of modern decking materials and outdoor construction
- Proficiency with design software such as SketchUp, Chief Architect, DeckFoundry, Realtime Landscape Architect, or similar
- Strong client-facing presence
- Comfort working within a defined system rather than building your own process
Responsibilities
- Refine client designs after a signed design agreement
- Produce 3D renderings and technical drawings
- Build estimates using JobTread and established pricing systems
- Co-present designs with the Project Developer, owning all technical questions
- Coordinate with the build team to ensure designs are fully buildable
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience designing and estimating decks, porches, or outdoor living projects
- Strong knowledge of modern decking materials and outdoor construction
- Proficiency with SketchUp, Chief Architect, DeckFoundry, Realtime Landscape Architect, or similar design software
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to work within established systems, processes, and pricing structures
- Strong attention to detail and ability to translate client concepts into accurate, buildable designs
