Overview
We are seeking an experienced Staff Software Engineer with a strong product-development mindset and a background building new, modern software products from the ground up. This position is ideal for an entrepreneurial engineer who enjoys working across the full development lifecycle and moving quickly from concept to market.
What We're Looking For
- Senior-level software engineering experience with the ability to contribute across the full technology stack
- Strong experience developing modern, production-ready applications using TypeScript
- Frontend development experience with React + TypeScript
- Backend development experience with NestJS + TypeScript
- Experience working with PostgreSQL and/or MongoDB
- Cloud infrastructure and deployment experience using AWS and/or GCP
- Experience with GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD workflows
- Experience integrating or developing products using leading AI platforms/APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and/or Gemini
- Understanding of AI model selection and prompt design
- Demonstrated experience building greenfield products, applications, or platforms, rather than primarily maintaining mature or legacy systems
- Ability to collaborate closely with product/design teams and contribute beyond coding alone
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where products, priorities, and technical requirements may evolve quickly
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take significant ownership of projects from concept through launch
Ideal Background
The strongest candidate will be a product-minded, entrepreneurial software engineer who enjoys creating new technology and being involved throughout the product-development process. This person should be comfortable with ambiguity, rapid iteration, and building scalable solutions without relying on an established legacy codebase.
The position is based in Bentonville, AR or Tulsa, OK and requires regular in-office collaboration, with flexibility to work remotely but must be withing commuting distance to either office. Our client is offering a relocation package.
Pay: $190,000.00 - $230,000.00 per year
