We are currently seeking hands-on, experienced Heat Treat Supervisors across all shifts for temp-to-hire positions to oversee daily operations on-site at our customer's premier aerospace manufacturing facility in South Gate, CA. Operating out of a massive 320,000+ sq. ft. AS9100 and Nadcap-accredited facility, our customer provides specialized aluminum heat-treating services for major space and defense programs nationwide.
Reporting directly to Senior Manufacturing Executives, the Heat Treat Supervisors will lead production personnel, ensure rigorous quality and safety standards, and drive on-time delivery on their respective shifts.
Position Type:
3 Temp-to-Hire (Full-Time) Positions – Hiring for Day, Swing, and Graveyard Shifts
Schedules & Compensation:
- Day Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM ($26.00/hr – $29.00/hr)
- Swing Shift: 1:30 PM – 10:00 PM ($26.00/hr – $29.00/hr + $3.00/hr shift differential
- Graveyard Shift: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AM ($26.00/hr – $29.00/hr + $4.50/hr shift differential
Position Duties:
- Operational Leadership: Supervise, coach, and develop heat treat operators; schedule daily production to meet delivery requirements and maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Process & Quality Oversight: Oversee furnace loading, solution heat treating, quenching, aging, and stress relieving of aluminum alloys. Ensure strict compliance with customer specifications, AMS 2750 pyrometry standards, and Nadcap/AS9100 quality guidelines.
- Safety & Inspections: Lead daily safety protocols, conduct facility inspections using company-issued iPads, report incidents, and enforce OSHA regulations.
- Administrative & Payroll: Monitor employee timecards, track overtime, coordinate preventive maintenance with engineering, and lead daily shift handover meetings.

Experience:
- 5+ years of aluminum heat treatment experience
- 3+ years of supervisory/leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
Technical Knowledge: Strong background in aluminum alloys, solution heat treating, precipitation hardening, quenching, aging processes, and furnace controls.
Standards & Specs: Familiarity with interpreting technical drawings, customer specifications, AMS 2750, Nadcap, and AS9100 requirements.
Systems & Tools:
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel and production reporting software.
- Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain) is preferred.
Communication:
- Excellent leadership skills
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Comfort working around industrial furnaces, elevated temperatures, and wearing required PPE (Hard Hat, Reflective Vest, Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs).

Pay: $26.00 - $29.00 per hour
