Graphic Equipment Maintenance Technician (Wide Format) - Experienced
Shift: Shift: M-F, plus some weekends and evenings
Well-established Las Vegas area sign company with over 25 years of experience is currently seeking an Experienced Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for the preventive maintenance, trouble-shooting, and repair of various wide format printing presses, CNC cutting tables, sewing machines, laminators, and all other mechanical equipment on-site.
This critical position is focused on maintaining and increasing equipment running time and longevity.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks for printing, cutting and finishing equipment according to schedule and need.
- Respond to and diagnose and identify root-cause issues for equipment failures and perform repairs.
- Service and maintain digital wide format printers: roll-to-roll, flat sheet, and heat sublimation for fabric.
- Service and maintain CNC cutting tables - including conveyer and drive belts, tensions, vacuum systems, cutting systems, etc.
- Service and maintain all other graphic finishing equipment - such as laminators, industrial sewing machines, compressors, etc.
- Participate in routine vehicle maintenance for company vehicles, including arranging for oil changes, tires, windshield repair, ensuring current registration, etc.
Experience, Skills and Abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent, plus technical or vocational training in industrial/mechanical maintenance or repair.
- 3-5 years of maintenance or repair experience with digital printing equipment and CNC cutters.
- Knowledge of printing media, substrates and laminates and how they interact with equipment effectiveness.
- Ability to read and work from electrical and mechanical schematics and/or OEM service documentation.
- Able to adhere and apply clearly defined policies and/or procedures, solve problems when clear choices exist, consult with supervisor and production manager when questions arise.
- Ability to work under pressure in demanding, deadline-driven environment, and be available on weekends and outside of work hours for equipment repairs.
- Able to safely lift, move or carry objects weighing 50+ lbs without assistance of others.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, squat, kneel, reach overhead and be able to work underneath equipment when needed.
- This position requires a valid and clean drivers’ license as you will drive a company vehicle during work hours.
Must pass pre-employment drug test.
Salary: Commensurate with experience.
