Position Summary
The Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with LU-VE specifications, engineering drawings, and customer requirements. This role focuses on verification, documentation, and enforcement of established quality standards within a manufacturing environment.
This is a hands-on position requiring strong attention to detail, blueprint reading capability, and the ability to work closely with production teams to maintain product integrity.
Key ResponsibilitiesIncoming & In-Process Inspection
- Inspect incoming raw materials and components for conformance to specifications.
- Conduct in-process inspections on brazing, fin press, assembly, and testing operations.
- Verify dimensional accuracy using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measurement tools.
- Document inspection results in accordance with company procedures.
Final Inspection
- Perform final product inspections prior to shipment.
- Confirm product labeling, documentation, and customer specifications are accurate.
- Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards and internal procedures.
Documentation & Reporting
- Complete inspection reports accurately and timely.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials (NCR process).
- Assist with root cause investigations when quality deviations occur.
- Maintain organized and accurate quality records.
Quality & Safety Compliance
- Follow all plant safety procedures and PPE requirements.
- Support ISO 9001 and internal quality audits as needed.
- Promote a culture of quality and accountability on the production floor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment (metal fabrication, HVAC, or industrial preferred).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Basic understanding of measurement tools and inspection techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in heat exchanger, HVAC, or sheet metal manufacturing.
- Familiarity with non-conformance reporting (NCR) processes.
- Basic understanding of ISO quality systems.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
